When I saw the Armadillo for the first time,
I just thought, that's it,
my dream came finally true.
This is how I imagined an expedition recumbent bike.
A recumbent trike is already great, but a recumbent quad tops it all!
Finally, enough space on a stable platform to take all your expedition equipment with you!
Of course, you still have to keep an eye on the weight, as with any other bike, but the amount of space you have is much greater than with any other conventional bike!
Even a waterproof, lockable box has finally become a reality. When I used to go shopping on my travels, it was always a bad feeling to leave all my equipment out in the open.
For me one of the biggest advantages is that it's a quad recumbent e-bike, the combination of e-motor and Rohloff is perfect on the road!
And as a big plus, it is a two-wheel drive!

The only thing I still have to think about is charging, because you always have long stretches without a power connection, but that's where solar comes in, we'll see ...
But one thing's for sure:
I have a lot more space than the 20 watts I used to have on my recumbent trike...

I was very lucky to get an Armadillo.
The Rohloff Speedhub has more than proven itself on my Alaska & Yukon Recumbent Tour. I wouldn't want to miss the comfort and efficiency of the gears, so I'm glad my Armadillo already comes with a Rohloff!
It shows that Velove really thinks about their bikes! Together with the Bafang M400 electric motor, it is ideal for travel.

Whether the M400 is sufficient for my purposes remains to be seen ...
I hardly can wait for the end of June when I get my hands on my Armadillo!

Yes, it's an expensive bike and I had to sell my Triumph motorcycle to buy it, but I got it well priced!
And hey, for me and the environment, using a cargo bike is a lot better than using a motorcycle...
The only little drawback for me is that it comes in a white color, a dark color would be more practical when travel...
